A Few 4th of July Pictures

Here's a little coloring action. She made her first beautiful picture, which I have properly displayed in my cubicle at work. I'm not going to lie...the child tries to eat the crayons, but she also makes beautiful artwork when given the chance.

We had a 4th of July party in our community and there was a snow cone machine, which Daddy insisted that Hailey try. Nothing like a bit of red sugar ice to soothe a tired baby and ruin everyone's clothes.

Here's a few pictures from Hailey's first dip in our new community pool. It's right at the end of our street and was just finished on the 4th. We are so excited to go swimming all the time. Hopefully, she won't be as scared the second time around.

Well, that pretty much sums up our 4th of July festivities. Hope that you had a fun one as well!

I am soooo looking forward to finally meeting Hailey soon!!! As a matter of fact, we all are! I'm sure grandpa's pool will be ready to use. Hailey can show off her floating skills!
Oh.. yeah...I'm looking forward to seeing Alisa and Luke too but I've met you before.

I can't believe I wrote grandpa when referring to Pete... how bizarre!

Early Picasso - When my kids were little and I was afraid to give them crayons for several obvious reasons, I read and used this idea from Parenting Magaine: Put whipped creme on the kitchen table and let your child draw designs with her fingers. Fun to do and to eat, plus it doesn't ruin walls, or furniture!

My child's hands are covered in marker ink as we speak....that whipped cream idea is brilliant!

Am I crazy, or is Hailey looking ALOT more like mommy these days??? She's looking so grown up already!! And she looks just like Alisa in those pix! Wow! She's so adorable, I love that age.
Looking forward to seeing you guys this weekend! Love you, Nancy
