If you haven’t guessed already, we are redoing Hailey’s room to give it more of a big girl feel and to accommodate Sophia. It’s a tricky balance really, but I think that we’re on the right track in terms of the furniture selection. Unfortunately, now we need to select a color for the room. I’ve asked Hailey several times what color she would like the room to be. Here are the two exchanges we’ve had on the subject.
Exchange #1
Mommy: “Hailey, what color would you like your room to be?”
Hailey: “Pink”
Mommy: “Ok, what’s another color that you would like your room to be?”
Hailey: “White”
Mommy: “If it couldn’t be pink or white, what color would you want it to be?”
Hailey: “Brown”
Exchange #2
Mommy: “Hailey, what color would you like your room to be?”
Hailey: “Pink”
Mommy: (without hesitation) “I’m sorry, Baby, but they don’t make pink paint.”
So, of course, the room is pink (well kinda). I'm not quite ready to unveil the entire color scheme, but I'm very excited about it and very thankful to have a creative/artistic husband!

And a creative/artistic child! Have you seen the bedding at PB Kids recently? Several of them have the color scheme of pink, white and brown and they are adorable. Maybe Hailey has inherited her Daddy's eye for color!
What is with you and the color pink? I can't remember any bizarre, negative experience you had at a young age with something pink, so I don't get it. I do, however, remember an obsession with Strawberry Shortcake and your bedroom decorated accordingly.
The child wants PINK - give her pink!
There are so many shades of pink, I'm sure you can find one that everyone agrees on.
